Brian Sims, Sr.

A native of Aliquippa who gives back to the community through acts of service.  Brian is the founder and Executive Director of Sims School of Construction & Trades.  He knows firsthand the importance of having positive opportunities and how this impacts not only the youth, but also their family and the community.

Although Brian's decisions led him to spend time in prison, he did not succumb to recidivism.  He did not allow this part of his life to determine his future.  He began to build his legacy by starting Sims Contracting Company which has grown from a one-man operation to a business that employs many individuals.  With a career in the construction industry spanning over 30 years, he willingly shares his knowledge to those interested.  In doing this, he found another opportunity to improve the community that means so much to him.  He began the work of developing Sims School of Construction & Trades and the S.I.M.S. programming for anyone interested in learning the trades.  He follows the philosophy that "seeds become trees and stones become buildings" meaning that with the right training, environment, dedication and support - anyone can be successful!
